King David School

The brief
A £22m government funded Building Schools for the Future project, King David School is a 100,000 sq.ft brand new high school & primary school. As well as the supply of library & administrative office furniture, the brief was to create a safe, practical classroom environment for pupils & teaching staff.

The solution
Egan Reid worked closely with Manchester City Council’s corporate technical services to specify and install a complete classroom package which included:

  • Ergonomically designed seating from Sebel to encourage good posture and concentration – the best-selling range is also lightweight but extremely sturdy, maintenance free and stackable, making it ideal to use in classrooms;
  • A range of mobile tray storage units, offering a safe, flexible and versatile storage solution;
  • Matching pupils and teachers’ tables and desks.

All the furniture used as part of this project meets all European legal requirements and is recommended for local schools.
